Zayo is seeking a Product Pricing Specialist, CPQ is a strategic, data-driven role responsible for executing the pricing strategy for specific products and product bundles within Zayo’s CPQ system. 

**This positon is open to remote applicants in the U.S.

The Product Pricing Specialist, CPQ (Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote)) will report to the Head of Product Pricing, and align closely with the Product Management groups dedicated to the product(s), as well as the Pricing Intelligence team. The Product Pricing Specialist, CPQ will translate specific pricing strategies into logic based rules within the CPQ plan. This includes drafting new logical rules within the plan, and testing to ensure rules do not overlap. This role is essential for ensuring our pricing strategy is appropriately executed within Zayo’s quoting platform.  

The right candidate will possess strong analytical and decision-making skills. The role requires someone who is passionate about logic, technology, data-integrity, and a knack for cross-team collaboration. Experience with Salesforce.com, a process improvement mindset, great organizational skills, and effective communication are essential to success in this role. 

The Product Pricing Specialist, CPQ will serve as an expert for the CPQ plans as they relate to each product. The CPQ plan includes all pricing, costing, and other logic based rules for product eligibility within specific markets, buildings, or any available variable within the CPQ plan. This is a heavy logic and math based role, and strong analytical skills are a must. 

Responsibilities:

  • Derive logic based rulesets within the CPQ plan based on strategic business pricing objectives. 

  • Tests and evaluates new products and services available within the CPQ plan, and ensures existing plans align with the business pricing strategies.

  • Manages data in SFDC that is consumed by the CPQ Pricing Engine to generate pricing & costing.

  • Sets base rates for products/bundles & continuously reevaluates these rates against market & competitor data.

  • Works with Pricing Intelligence team to continuously evaluate and update market rates as well as propose AI/Automation-based solutions.

  • Works with Product Management to assign financial thresholds/guardrails by product/customer. 

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com Data structure for all pricing/costing levers.

  • Thorough understanding of standard costing assumptions across different markets and products. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of data analysis/pricing/finance experience; Telecom experience preferred.

  • Moderate to Advanced knowledge of Telecom products and customer use cases preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Analytics, Operations Management, or similar field; MBA a plus.

  • Successful experience coordinating and/or managing projects across cross-functional teams.

  • Advanced skillset in Microsoft Excel and G-Suite applications.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com and/or telecommunications data systems. 

  • Experience working with Salesforce CPQ a plus.

  • Proficient in the calculations behind pricing-related financial metrics (i.e. IRR, NPV, Payback Period, Profit Margin, MOIC, etc).

  • Self-starter who is able to tackle work in an unstructured environment, comfortable with ambiguity.

  • Ability to adapt to change quickly, as well as manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively.

  • A team player who can collaborate while also remain productive independently.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. 

  • Strong ability to present product pricing strategy to management teams.

  • Strong financial acumen and a passion for data.

  • Must be highly organized and a strong communicator both written and verbal.

Base Salary Range: $67,500 - $90,000 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
