Collaboration, relationship-building, communication and leadership are key aspects of the Product Owner II role.As part of the Cross Market Product team, you will support our products and services that allows for serving Higher-Ed, K-12, FinTech and many other existing and new markets.
The Product Owner for this role will be supporting our Payment Processing applications, providing payment options for multiple in-house products. You will work with our Compliance and Risk, Security, Development, and Design teams along with other product teams that utilize Payment Processing.
You will be responsible for coordinating product development, release planning, and managing the overall successful delivery of new and existing products. The ultimate purpose of the Product Owner is to understand the Stakeholder needs, prioritize those needs based on business value and communicate those to the Technology Delivery Team so they can continuously improve the product.
Focus in this position should be to continue to develop skills and mentor/train other Product Owners.
Lincoln Nebraska Candidates- This position offers a hybrid work option. Nelnet values flexibility and understands the importance of work-life integration. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works very closely with agile development teams to create use cases, requirements, and estimations in support of company objectives.
2. Involved in documenting release notes and managing the analytics behind the customer’s journey through our products.
3. Spends a significant amount of time validating UX mocks and early-stage simulations with clients.
4. Works with development teams to ensure solutions meet market expectations.
5. Works with sales, technical sales, marketing and product manager to provide content for sales, user training and documentation tools.
6. Ensures client documentation is updated and effective including release notes and roadmaps.
7. Launches new products with assistance from the Product Manager.
8. Works with clients directly and manages a client feedback tool to ensure voice of the customer is heard and felt in each product.
9. Studies and reports on product analytics.
10. Resource for onboarding new team members.
11. Confidence presenting and tailoring messaging to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership
EDUCATION:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
1. 2+ years related experience or existing product knowledge.

Pay range for this role is $75,000-$90,000 annually, depending on experience.
