JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

At Commvault, we are looking for a hands-on Manager of Product Operations to fine-tune our product development processes and support the day-to-day operations of our engineering teams. The right candidate will have a solid background in product management and operations, with a knack for solving problems and driving efficiency through data. This role will focus on ensuring that product strategies align with operational processes, helping to enhance the productivity of our product and engineering teams on a tactical level.

What you’ll do…

  • Assist in designing and maintaining dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor product and engineering effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate data collection, providing clear insights that influence product decisions.

  • Regularly report on the health of product and engineering metrics to ensure alignment with company goals.

  • Support data-driven decision-making by providing operational insights from collected data.

  • Contribute to improving the usage of data across product and engineering teams, ensuring decisions are well-informed and timely.

  • Assist in driving a culture of data literacy across the teams, ensuring everyone is equipped to make informed choices.

  • Support the continuous improvement of the product development lifecycle, including assisting in requirements gathering, development tracking, testing, and release management.

  • Work closely with product managers and engineering teams to keep product development on track and efficient.

  • Help optimize processes for product and engineering teams, ensuring smoother collaboration and timely delivery of initiatives.

  • Provide operational support for daily product and engineering activities, including helping to streamline processes and resource management.

  • Act as a liaison between product, engineering, and other teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving product delivery and efficiency.

  • Lead and mentor a small team of product operations professionals, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure product operations strategies align with the broader company goals.

Who you are…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product operations, or related fields within the software industry.

  • Experience with metrics and dashboards to monitor product performance and engineering processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate data into clear actions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on working across teams and levels.

  • Familiarity with product management tools and data analytics platforms.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies, experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, knowledge of software development practices and engineering processes.

Thank you for your interest in Commvault. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, and within the below base salary range:

$85,000 - $212,800
