The base salary range for a Product Marketing Specialist is $52,000 to $83,000. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and company tenure and equity. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.

Product Marketing Specialist Overview

The Product Marketing Specialist supports Marketing leadership in planning, developing, and executing marketing strategies and programs across the company’s consumer and B2B segments. This role has a strong understanding of business products and develops a strong sense and understanding of customer needs.

Essential Duties:

  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of the company’s products, services, and distribution channels to create marketing assets that clearly and effectively demonstrate our products’ value
  • Collaborate with writers and designers on the Creative Services team to create marketing content and assets for both consumer and B2B segments
  • Collect marketing requests from product and sales teams and manage traffic through the marketing workflow system, keeping a wide range of concurrent jobs moving and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Ensure that new and updated assets are distributed to stakeholders and that internal and external document repositories are up to date
  • Create field tools including sales presentations, playbooks, training decks, etc., to support Sales and Account Management, ensuring that messaging fits our products’ positioning, and that content and visuals are on brand
  • Work with the digital team to maintain, refresh, and roll out new digital assets
  • Become an expert on the USAble Life and our health plan partners’ brands and ensure consistency in voice, messaging, branding, and look-and-feel of all marketing assets
  • Manage, measure, assess, and optimize the performance and effectiveness of marketing programs, content, and campaigns
  • Conduct market research to understand best practices for content creation, packaging, and distribution
  • Serve as proxy for the Sr. Director of Marketing in meetings with internal teams, including Product, Sales and Account Management, Operations, and Clinical/Provider Relations
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience developing communication strategies across marketing media including print, digital, video, and sales-specific tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience developing content of all types
  • Self-starter with a bias towards action and delivering results
  • Collaboration skills to successfully engage with a wide range of people and teams
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage projects and prioritize workload
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfort using marketing technology tools including marketing automation, CRM, and content management systems

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • 3+ years of product marketing or brand marketing experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required
  • Adobe design programs experience is a plus

Working Conditions (Physical Demands):

  • Travel requirements are 10% of the time
