Product Marketing Manager

The Opportunity:
The DataGrail Product Marketing Team is the voice of the customer internally, enabling us to inform product roadmap and bring new products to market through differentiated messaging, sales collateral & enablement, customer engagement, and cross-functional marketing activation.
As a product marketing manager at DataGrail reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, you will support our core product offerings, and become the expert on our ideal customer profile (ICP), target personas, and unique value proposition. You will help inform our product strategy, plan and execute product launches, and build stories to engage customers for long-term success, all while differentiating us from the competition.
This role operates at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing. Our ideal teammate is a compelling storyteller, excellent writer, and creative thinker, able to transform complex needs and solutions into simple differentiated messages, while also having a passion for collaboration, project management, and go-to-market initiatives.
The Skill Set:
- Own product launches:
- Build GTM strategies for new and existing products that help drive acquisition, upsell, and retention.
- Plan, manage, and execute successful product launches from start to finish
- Ideate and develop product launch campaigns that drive awareness and engagement from our target customers.
- Train and enable customer-facing teams on the value pillars of new and existing products and how to clearly communicate them to our customers.
- Develop differentiated messaging and positioning:
- Use empathy-driven storytelling to create compelling product marketing messaging that communicates the unique value proposition for each of our products.
- Continually refine our ideal customer profile and personas through primary and secondary research.
- Deeply understand DataGrail competitors and clearly communicate our competitive advantage for our ICP.
- Deliver high-quality product content and collateral:
- Continually plan and deliver quality content to support new and existing products - including blogs, feature videos, webpages, webinars, etc.
- Support our sales funnel by creating and delivering white papers, guides, sales decks, and demo scripts.
- Deeply understand our technical value and create content that speaks to personas at every level of the business, including privacy and legal executives and practitioners, product /development teams, and technical and security leaders.
- Support cross-functional teams:
- Work effectively with sales leaders to support ABM initiatives and deliver high-performing sales playbooks to our reps.
- Collaborate with Product to plan product launches and provide VOC feedback on product roadmap and initiatives.
- Support demand generation activities and help create high-performing campaigns that generate quality pipeline and meet business goals.
- Strong problem solving and project management:
- Manage complex projects, using strong organizational skills and ability to work cross-functionally with peers and executive stakeholders.
- Superb written and oral communication skills:
- Work with DataGrail executives, develop business proposals, and present content to both internal and audiences.
- SaaS / technical product marketing experience required.
Within 90 Days You'll:
- Become knowledgeable about the data privacy industry (key terms, regulations players, trends etc)
- Establish relationships with Product, Sales, and Marketing
- Gain an overview of our mission, vision, value proposition, and differentiation
- Deep dive into the company's target audience, existing customer personas, and market positioning
- Review current marketing strategies and campaigns
- Analyze competitor products & positioning
- Review our product roadmap and get familiar with our product launch process
- Listen to customer and prospect gong calls to understand our buyers’ challenges and need
Within 180 Days You'll:
- Become a Subject Matter Expert for DataGrail products, and our development cycles
- Collaborate with product team to align on upcoming releases and features
- Build a GTM strategy and execute a launch plan for one (or more) of your products
- Plan and develop key collateral to promote our products
- Shadow sales and customer calls to understand customer pain points and needs
- Monitor launch performance and analyze key metrics (website, pipeline, revenue)
- Build and refine a customer maturity model
Within 365 Days You'll:
- Be the go-to person (and SME) for Sales, CS, Product, Marketing
- Lead new hire onboarding sessions and participate in the interview process
- Influence quarterly campaign planning messaging and activation
- Refine DataGrail product messaging & positioning based on customer feedback, new products, and market changes
- Create best practice content and collaborate with the content team to develop high-performing, differentiated TOFU content and BOFU sales collateral
Please note that the compensation range below is a guideline and final compensation will be based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies.
