Product Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for the development strategy, application implementation, and application support of various business systems utilized by IGS Energy. Apply appropriate technology and processes to ensure development of quality software to address complex business requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage employed application developers, and contractors, to ensure adherence to industry and company standards.

• Define architectural concepts, conduct code reviews, recommend best practices, and determine planning for business applications.

• Research and implement new methods and technologies to meet customer requirements more effectively and accomplish tasks more efficiently.

• Continue to stay abreast of new technologies within the industry, and evaluate the applicability of those technologies within the company’s environment.

• Plan, lead, assign, supervise, and manage activities related to software design and development and resolve all applicable software problems timely and accurately.

• Consult with senior management on the application of technology to address strategic issues and provide status reports on development projects.

• Partner with appropriate IT groups, administrative departments, and outside vendors to assure effective management of the company’s technology assets.

• Collaborate with other technology teams in defining and maintaining processes.

• Manage the application development staff, including supervision, scheduling, and evaluation, and provide a path for professional development for each employee, commensurate with the needs of the company.

Other Responsibilities:

• Build and implement project plans for related enterprise software implementations, on-going monitoring, support, and upgrades.

• Establish and manage large scale project timelines, goals, and objectives.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 5-10 years of application development experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.

• Familiarity with applicable technologies, and architecture/system engineering experience preferred.
