Product Manager - Data and AI
Remote, USA
Construction is the 2nd largest industry in the world (4x the size of SaaS!). But unlike software (with observability platforms such as AppDynamics and Datadog), construction teams lack automated feedback loops to help projects stay on schedule and on budget. Without this observability, construction wastes a whopping $3T per year because glitches aren’t detected fast enough to recover.
Doxel AI exists to bring computer vision to construction, so the industry can deliver what society needs to thrive. From hospitals to data centers, from foreman to VPs of construction, teams use Doxel to make better decisions everyday. In fact, Doxel has contributed to the construction of the facilities that provide many of the products and services you use everyday.
We have classic computer vision, deep learning ML object detection, a low-latency 3D three.js web app, a complex data pipeline powering it all in the background. We’re building out new workflows, analytics dashboards, and forecasting engines.
We’re at an exciting stage of scale as we build upon our growing market momentum. Our software is trusted by Shell Oil, Genentech, HCA healthcare, Kaiser, Turner, Layton and several others. Join us in bringing AI to construction!
The Product Manager at Doxel
Buckle your seat belts. We ship value fast! And, we ship accurate! Data ain’t beta. Users rely on our progress tracking data to make decisions on billions of dollars of construction everyday. If our data isn’t right, our customers’ core businesses suffer. For example, one of our data center customers might start operating one day later ($1M in compute profit gone!) or a hospital might get to healing patients late. Your job is to deliver user experiences that make it easy for our customers to make great decisions with our near real-time status on their construction sites. To do that, you’ll collaborate with our engineering, machine learning, and software developer team on data architecture decisions, business logic, data visualization techniques, integrations with business intelligence solutions, and APIs for partners and customers.
You’ll balance the needs for a robust data platform with the need to serve up data to our workflow features quickly. You relish the challenge of replacing the tire while still driving the car, so Doxel can release features that take advantage of new platform capabilities as they become available.
Doxel has a small but mighty product and design team. That means you’ll learn from and contribute to all aspects of our business: pricing, marketing, sales enablement, design, machine learning model training, product and commercial strategy, data architecture, operations, finance, and channel partner development. Our software developers are the best in the construction tech world, and they’re energized by solving tough real-world problems with cutting edge tech. It’s highly likely you’ll spec out features that contribute to winning and expanding 7-figure contracts just in your first 6 months. Doxel is growing quickly, and that means you’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow your product management experience fast.
The base salary for this position is $150,000 - $180,000, plus equity and benefits. Pay is based on factors such as location, skill level, qualifications, competencies, and overall experience.
Doxel provides comprehensive health/dental/vision benefits for employees and their families including an Unlimited PTO policy, a 401(k) program, and a flexible work environment among other benefits. Doxel is an equal opportunity employer and actively seeks diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Apply

- No detail is too small, you are hands-on when needed, and you have a relentless drive to fit all of the small details into the big picture.
- Strong communicator across different audiences and communication styles. Able to simplify tough problems and explain them to a non-technical audience. And, document solutions in a highly technical way to technical audiences.
- Comfortable getting into deep technical discussions with engineers about the pros and cons of different approaches.
