This role is open to remote working arrangements within B.C. While we welcome all applications, we anticipate filling this role with a candidate located in British Columbia.
What you’ll do:
Reporting to the VP, Product & Innovation, the Product Manager, Digital Channels will influence the strategic vision and drive the execution of a cutting-edge digital experience for our members. Working closely with product and innovation teams, the incumbent will champion the significance of Beem’s digital offerings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of innovation and deliver a seamless, member-centric experience.
As a visionary leader in the business innovation function, the Product Manager prioritizes member needs and bold ideas and finds the right balance with sound business and technology decisions to support an innovative and exciting member journey. The incumbent is a bridge between business innovation and the broader functional organization and maintains a sound understanding of financial products, technology, and member experience to support Beem’s overall vision.
Product Strategy, Research & Development
- Define and communicate the digital product vision, omnichannel strategy, and roadmap aligned with strategic objectives and member needs.
- Maintain proactive awareness of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape; evaluate competitor product and, their effectiveness in meeting member needs, and potential improvements.
- Champion the process of product development and innovation from ideation, through testing, business case development, product launch and in-market performance.
- Advocate for digital-first solutions by identifying unique opportunities and challenges.
- Continuously refine product goals based on analytics, user feedback, and market trends.
- Manage processes of transition and retirement of existing products.
- Maintain agile product backlogs that align with product roadmap.
- Establish pricing strategy, marketing, legal and financial targets
Product Analytics
- Define product performance metrics and targets.
- Track and analyze product performance through metrics such as user engagement, conversion rates, member feedback and market trends or other KPI’s as appropriate for each product for continuous product improvement.
- Utilize various data analysis techniques and tools to derive actionable insights that inform product development, feature prioritization, and optimization efforts.
Communication & Collaboration
- Work closely with Design to define the customer journey and create an exceptional user experience.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align the digital experience with broader omnichannel strategies.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders to secure resources and support for continuous innovation.
- Develop written and other visual communication artifacts such as presentations, and effective communication of concepts to all levels of management
- Communicate ongoing changes and business results with stakeholders and business leaders.
- Champion and advocate products across the organization, ensuring every team member understands the value proposition and member impact.
- Act as a subject matter expert on product management, providing guidance and support to the organization.
- As the business lead, champion major cross-portfolio projects and cross-functional product initiatives, and agile project teams.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, computer science, or related area
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in product management with P&L responsibilities for a large-scale digital solution
- Knowledge of financial products and services, member segmentation, digital and physical channels and non-traditional competition
- Experience driving a focused product vision and owning the narrative with leadership, customers, and partners
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design best practices
- High analytical acumen and solid business sense for ROI-based prioritization
- Understanding of agile or similar methodology
- Strong understanding of digital concepts
- Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate
What you’ll gain:
- The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $123,000
