Product Lead / VP of Product (Bilingual - Mandarin)

Key Responsibilities:
- Product vision and strategy: Define and communicate Ternary's vision, spirit, and strategy. Develop a data-driven product system Ternary uses to explore new opportunities and make strategic tradeoff decisions. Set a strong vision for our product, and have Engineers, PMs, and UX Designers on the team look to you for product guidance.
- Customer insights and market analysis: Engage with customers, prospective customers, and industry experts to gather insights and feedback. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay abreast of trends in the FinOps ecosystem, informing and refining our product roadmap accordingly.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, product marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure successful product development and launches. Partner with the VP of Product Delivery and CTO to ensure rapid translation of strategy into product capabilities.
- Product development: Lead the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch. Communicate a well-defined product vision to the team, guiding what to build and what to avoid. Prioritize features and collaborate with the VP of Product Delivery to coordinate execution across Scrum teams.
- Performance metrics and decision making: Define and track key product performance metrics. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions on product capabilities, priorities and timelines.
- Team leadership and mentorship: Foster a collaborative and innovative product development culture. Recruit and mentor top product managers, ensuring their success and growth. Inspire teams to innovate and experiment, accelerating feature delivery. Support the career development of engineering managers and product managers.
Qualifications:Strategic vision and business acumen:
- Ability to define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with the company’s overall strategy
- Strong understanding of market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs
- Proficiency in balancing short-term goals with long-term strategic initiatives.
- Empathy and regular engagement with customers, ensuring product decisions are driven by genuine customer needs and pain points.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Solid understanding of software development processes, technologies, and tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate with engineering teams and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and best practices in product management.
- Proficiency in using analytics and metrics to drive product decisions and measure success. Strong problem-solving skills, using data to identify issues and opportunities.
- Experience with A/B testing, user analytics, and other data-driven techniques to validate hypotheses and optimize products.
- Ability to articulate a compelling product narrative that excites and engages stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in mentoring product team members, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Creative thinking to identify unique opportunities and differentiate our product in the market.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, customer demands, and technological advancements. Willingness to take calculated risks and learn from failures.
- Strong project management skills to ensure timely and high-quality product deliveries.
- Ability to prioritize features and tasks effectively, managing resources efficiently.

- Existing relationships with key industry analysts and experts is a plus.
