Job Description

At Renaissance, we build products that seek to provide all students with a “mirror” so they may see themselves uplifted in the content, and a “window” so they may learn about others’ cultures, customs, and practices. As a Product Inclusion Fellow, you will support the content and product teams in delivering inclusive educational experiences to students.  

The ideal candidate will be a degree-seeking student who is passionate about product inclusion and educational equity. They plan to enter a career path in education, social science research, or a related field. Reporting to the Director of Content Quality and DEI, the fellow will work with teams across Renaissance products to develop and implement plans for ensuring diverse representation in products, including high-quality representation of people from diverse backgrounds in the content. 

As a Product Inclusion Fellow, you will: 

  • Support the product team’s research efforts in one or more projects by conducting literature reviews, analyzing Renaissance content offerings, and uncovering insights.   

  • Document learnings, best practices, and recommendations for ensuring high-quality representation of diverse groups in educational content. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders at Renaissance, including Product Managers, Content Managers, User Experience Researchers, and others. 

Qualifications

For this role as a Product Inclusion Fellow, we are looking for the following: 

  • Actively working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree, and eligible to work in the US 

  • Deep commitment to educational equity and can communicate the importance of building inclusive tech products 

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills 

Bonus points if you have: 

  • Experience conducting a research study with participants (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods) 

  • Experience creating educational content

This is a fully remote,10-week paid fellowship, working up to 20 hours per week at $20/hour.
