Product & Engineering Lead
Florida
Why We're Here:
At Brave Health, we are driven by a deep commitment to transform lives by expanding access to compassionate, high-quality mental health care. By harnessing the power of technology, we break down barriers and bring mental health treatment directly to those who need it most—wherever they are. As a community health-centered organization, we are dedicated to ensuring that no one is left behind. Nearly 1 in 4 people in the U.S. receive healthcare through Medicaid, yet two-thirds of providers don’t accept it. Brave Health is stepping up to close this gap by making mental health care accessible, affordable, and life-changing for all.
The Opportunity:
We recently spun up a new team at Brave focused on the core Care Experience and we’re looking for a team leader. The scope of the Care Experience team holistically spans patients (think intake and scheduling) and clinicians (think internal tools and EHRs) and works with partners across the company to bring these workflows to reality.
As a Product & Engineering Lead at Brave, here's what your day-to-day activities might look like:
Lead a multi-disciplinary team of PMs, in-house engineers, QA, salesforce and EHR admins
Run team rituals including planning meetings, retros and standups
Steward the team’s roadmap, including release timelines and project scoping
Align partners across the business around the roadmap
Hold yourself and your team accountable for thoughtful delivery against the roadmap
Partnering with the executive team around progress towards company goals and aligning that with the roadmap and progress
And here are the kinds of projects you might work on in your first few months:
Building internal tools to make our clinical staff’s jobs easier so they can focus on delivering great care
Building patient facing tools to engage in their care, like sharing how they’re doing or requesting services
Building tools to optimize claims process and collection rates
About you:
You're excited about improving mental health for everyone
You are excited about leading high caliber, product focused engineers
You love collaborating with team members from other departments (including clinical, patient support, revenue cycle management and more)
You can translate requests into work with broad impact beyond quickly solving the stated problem
You can whip together a proof of concept, get feedback, iterate with the team and deploy something impactful
You own projects and see them through, rolling up your sleeves with a small and mighty team
You are thoughtful and empathetic in how you carry yourself, from decision making and execution, to communication and collaboration
You care about solving problems and aren’t tied to particular solutions or tools
You like making technology accessible and intuitive to users with diverse backgrounds
Bonus points for experience with:
Healthcare stuff™, especially around clinical workflows, patient portals and interactions, communications and patient engagement
Internal tools and workflow design
Managing product and technology
Balancing custom development and low-code tools
If you’re looking to join a product and technology team that balances EQ with technical acumen while working on a meaningful problem, we would love to talk to you.
Brave Health is very proud of our diverse team who cares for a diverse population of patients. We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage all applicants from every background and life experience to apply.
