About the team:
Core Banking is responsible for the current account used by 10 million customers. That includes creating compelling value propositions for different audiences (including Personal, Joint, Under 16s and 16 - 17 accounts), growing Subscriptions (Extra, Perks and Max), and optimising the overall app structure and experience to help customers get the most out of Monzo.
đWeâre now gearing up for our next phase of growth, from 10 million to 20 million customers. As we launch more and more financial products, and our customersâ financial lives become more complex, personalising the experience is a key priority.
Â
What youâll be working on:
As a Product Director for App Experience, youâll lead and develop a team of Product Managers to define and deliver a strategy that helps customers make the most of Monzo. Youâll help build the platform, capabilities and app structure needed to optimise a customerâs in-app experience and engagement.Â
What you'll do:
- Lead the charge: drive Monzo's product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with our business goals.
- Collaborate seamlessly: partner with engineering, design, data marketing, and other teams across Monzo to have impact.
- Deliver exceptional products: define, deliver and measure the impact of customer-focused personalisation and discovery experiences.
- Work with cross-functional partners (engineering, design, data, user research and marketing) as well as with legal, compliance and regulatory affairs where relevant, to deliver at pace.
- Communicate effectively: you get people inspired by the product vision and you share the right context with the right people at the right time.
Â
You should apply if you:
- You are a seasoned product leader, and have led high-performing teams to ship world-class customer-facing products at a fast growing company.
- You have a track record of leading consumer personalisation and discovery efforts (for example, search or recommendation systems) that drive significant value for customers and the business.Â
- You're data-driven and commercial, and have a track record of collaborating with machine learning experts or data scientists to define key metrics, run experiments, and deliver business impact.
- You can systematically break down and solve complex problems.
- You have good judgement, and youâre able to make good decisions in complex situations where thereâs often no âright answerâ.Â
- You have the urge and resilience to challenge the status quo and make things better, and are full of creative ideas for how to do so.
- You can work effectively with a diverse range of people and working styles - spanning engineering, design, data, user research, marketing, legal and compliance - to get stuff done.
- Youâre a great storyteller, who is able to motivate, energise and inspire people towards a common goal.
- Youâre passionate about building value for customers and not just achieving business results, and are excited about our mission at Monzo.
- Youâre intellectually honest about your work's performance, continually striving for improvement.Â
- Youâre a fast learner, humble and curious, and enjoy learning every day and sharing your knowledge and experience.
- Youâve managed other PMs, have the ability to coach others, and can provide clear and constructive feedback to your team and other disciplines.
