Product Director & Actuary - Remote

As our Product Director & Actuary, you’ll lead product pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and actuarial assumptions to drive success in our group LTD product line. This is a high-impact role with leadership responsibilities, offering the opportunity to shape pricing strategies, assess financial risks, and influence product development.

• Estimated Salary: $158,000 - $208,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Lead and oversee the pricing and financial analysis of group LTD products, ensuring profitability and risk management.
• Support system testing and implementation procedures.
• Understand and support changes to the rate calculation within the rating system.
• Develop and refine actuarial assumptions to support accurate projections and risk assessments.
• Monitor experience and implement corrective actions to maintain profitability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design and enhance product offerings that align with business objectives.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging market needs to drive strategic initiatives.
• Provide actuarial support for compliance and regulatory assessments, ensuring adherence to evolving guidelines. Execute rate filings to maintain compliance.
• Manage and mentor a team, overseeing staffing, performance, and professional development.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) with a strong actuarial background.
• Extensive experience in group LTD pricing, financial analysis, and risk management.
• Deep understanding of group insurance products, pricing strategies, and marketing objectives.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Creativity and strategic thinking to drive product innovation and pricing optimization.
• Ability to navigate a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
