The Job
The Product Designer/Developer supports the design and development of merchandise for evo. This role works closely with the merchandising and leadership teams to translate creative direction into product designs that align with brand identity, market trends, and price targets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about product design and development in the snowsports and outdoor industries.

What you will do
- Assist in the end-to-end product development process, from concept to production.
- Create sketches, concept boards, and color palettes that reflect seasonal trends and brand aesthetics.
- Develop detailed product specifications, including materials, trims, and technical requirements.
- Support supplier communication, ensuring products align with design briefs, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Track and monitor all development and production stages to ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare digital assets and physical samples for internal review and marketing needs.
- Conduct research on industry trends, materials, and technologies to support innovative product design.
- Assist in quality control and warranty processes to maintain brand standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and external designers, to execute brand vision. Track and manage operational expenditures related to product development and production.
- Collect and submit factory purchase orders, working with accounts to process updates, changes, and payment requests.
- Liaise with suppliers, agents, and factories to build and maintain strong relationships within the supply network.
- Manage tasks and deadlines within an agreed critical path, ensuring key development and production milestones are met.
- Prepare and schedule sign-offs for staged sample approvals to ensure production accuracy.
- Monitor quality control procedures on bulk production to uphold brand standards.
- Oversee the warranty process with distributors and factories to secure replacements or credits and support continuous product improvement.

The Must Haves
Must be in Seattle, WA
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in product design or development, preferably in the apparel or outdoor industries.
- Understanding of garment development, patternmaking, and materials sourcing is a plus.
Technology
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) software is a plus.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving and design thinking.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Passion for the snowsports, outdoor, or active lifestyle industries.

The base wage for this role ranges from $58,080.00 to $87,120.00. Where you land in that range depends on your skills and experience, and we also factor in internal pay equity. While the full range is listed for this role, we rarely hire at the top of the range, leaving room for professional and financial growth in role.
