Product Designer
United Kingdom - Remote
What excites you more: being handed a polished brief, or diving into messy business problems and identifying the real opportunities?
As a profitable, bootstrapped startup, we're seeking a Lead Product Designer who lives for strategic challenges – someone who can uncover what our clients want to achieve and craft elegant software products that transform the ecommerce industry.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Lead Product Manager and Head of Engineering to transform high-level product strategies into actionable designs.
What we do
At gocertify we help retailers run more profitable discounts with tools to deliver smarter and more meaningful rewards. Our tech allows brands to lock offers to 24+ verified groups, including students and key workers - helping convert first-time shoppers and build loyal, repeat-purchase communities.
Trusted by over 450 leading brands like Samsung, Sainsbury's, and FARFETCH, we’re used by 2m+ shoppers a year, driving £60m+ in retail sales. All while remaining profitable and bootstrapped since we were founded in 2020.
With a lean, talented team, YoY growth that places us in the top 25% of “Series A” startups (despite being bootstrapped), a rebrand in progress, and US and EU expansion in 2025, there’s no better time to join….Oh and you get meaningful equity too!
Working at gocertify
We’re a team of 18, growing to 23, working remotely, but with access to coworking spaces across the UK, including London where we optionally meet up. We bring the whole team together for socials and team coworking days too.
We work hard, have fun and treat each other with respect and kindness. We’re always working to improve our approach to diversity, equity and inclusion (D,E & I) and know that difference will help us succeed as colleagues and as a company.
What the job involves
- Own and shape our design culture while turning complex business challenges into elegant, user-first solutions
- Craft exceptional experiences across two key areas - our shopper-facing verification tech and our new self-serve platform for brands

- Create rapid prototypes that bring ideas to life - from quick wireframes to high-fidelity designs that developers love
- Work closely with our dev team to turn ambitious designs into reality (keeping things feasible but never boring)
- Help transform how retailers manage their rewards by designing our self-serve platform from the ground up
- Build intuitive interfaces that make verification feel effortless for millions of shoppers
Requirements
- Proven track record crafting exceptional products in a high-growth startup/scaleup environment
- Experience designing both consumer-facing experiences and B2B platforms that users actually enjoy
- Mastery of the full design process - from user research through to polished Figma designs
- Strategic thinker who can see the big picture while keeping the details in check
- Leadership skills that help bring the team along on the design journey
- Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices
- Adaptable problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communicator who can make complex concepts simple and get everyone excited
We hope you're feeling excited about the job description you’re reading. Even if you don't feel that you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
