The Standard has completed the acquisition of the Employer[AM1] Voluntary Benefits business from Allstate. This deal enhances our competitive position in the market with a comprehensive offering of workplace benefits products and capabilities.
Job Summary
This position will be responsible for researching health, disability and life insurance laws and regulations to comply with both Group and Individual insurance. Utilize insurance knowledge to provide product expertise to various business units within the company. Consultant will be responsible for preparation and submission of policy related forms to applicable insurance departments, responding to objections and question from the various insurance departments as related to the submissions. Upon approval, analyst will implement approved forms.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Identify process improvements based on customer or expert’s feedback.
Ability to communicate with departments of insurance as well as work across internal department lines to ensure compliance with approved policy forms.
Develop new policies and application forms for filing with all departments of insurance.
Research and compile information for successful implementation of approved forms (Includes coordination with Underwriting, Marketing, Technology, Claims, etc.).
Prepare approved forms for implementation.
Research law and regulations to prepare responses to objections.
Review, prepare and submit basic filings
Skills and Background You’ll Need
Experience: 4 or more years of experience, including previous filing, compliance or insurance (life, supplemental health) experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
