Job Description

This position is remote, however the incumbent will be asked to come into the Warrenville, IL office 4 - 5 times over the summer.

Overview:
This job may be split between IT Procurement and Procurement Outsourcing depending on
the projects being assigned. The Procurement IT / Outsourcing Intern position is a supportive role to the IT and
Outsourcing Procurement Manager and offers opportunity for the right candidate to build skills in Project Management, IT Commodity knowledge, IT Asset Management and Procurement methodologies in SAP and Ariba.


Responsibilities:

  • Daily management of software and/or hardware procurement and recordkeeping to ensure data integrity.
  • Support hardware asset management daily processes and aid in data cleanup effort.
  • Update software assets with supplier records, service level agreements, and software license information in ServiceNow.
  • Maintain documentation relating to the software asset management process and procedures. Track data for locations, assets and licenses; as well as linking contract data to software.
  • Analysis data to identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and cost savings projects.
  • Under supervision uses data to conduct price & cost analysis to drive savings
  • Participate in external benchmarking and implementation of best practices for supplier invoice resolution.
  • Participates in troubleshooting contractual issues and applies innovative solutions.
  • Lead efforts in the identification of stakeholder needs and delivers appropriate communication internally and externally to meet the needs of Operations.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of training, policy and procedure materials.

This is an opportunity to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer and
holiday breaks. The number of hours and work times can be adjusted to accommodate the student's
schedule.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should be working toward a Bachelor’s Degree from accredited University. Prefer students who have completed their Sophomore or Junior year.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required; both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Familiarity with Google (Gmail, Docs, Sites, Groups) and ServiceNow is preferred.
  • Must be flexible and exercise a high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.
  • We are seeking an individual who can work independently and/or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $20 / hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
