A Brief Overview
The Procurement Analyst will assist in the development of category strategies while supporting and influencing business partners to drive value to TriNet. The individual will lead and support category initiatives and provide strategic direction and evolution in category management, supplier evaluation & selection, risk management, sourcing initiatives, pricing reviews, contract management, data analysis, and communication. The analyst will play a pivotal role for improved quality, services and performance within the categories they support while ensuring business requirements are fulfilled and value is optimized.

What you will do

  • Manage and support end to end procure-to-pay process, including but not limited to stakeholder management, vendor engagement, escalation management.
  • Support the Procurement Managers to build short term and long-term category vision that is aligned with business partners, and supported by strategic category management and sourcing
  • Lead and facilitate supplier negotiations to ensure appropriate terms, rates, services, etc., that are aligned to the strategic needs of the business and maximize partner satisfaction
  • Support the development and implementation of category strategies to maximize value for TriNet while reducing risk at the highest quality and reliability
  • Conduct targeted analysis related to the business goals for Sourcing and synthesize data to identify cost savings opportunities, mitigate risks, and improve category performance while meeting financial targets, improving partner satisfaction
  • Assist in creating function specific strategic sourcing goals that will improve the service, performance and value of the partnership and drive the relationship to ensure achievement of these goals. Contributes to the performance and profitability of assigned departments and related business units through the purchasing process.
  • Actively supervise and handle aggregate supplier spend data; Regularly performs price, industry and supplier analysis to support effective decision analysis in the sourcing process and work directly with key suppliers to negotiate preferred pricing and contract terms.
  • Proactively and regularly connect with Procurement Managers to ensure awareness of and alignment to category initiatives
  • Develops and maintains on-going procurement metrics including cost savings, transaction savings, procure-to-pay transactions, and Procurement efficiencies

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required 

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 2+ years experience with Technology/IT sourcing preferably in a large or public company required 
  • Typically 2+ years supplier management, contract negotiation and risk mitigation preferred 

Skills and Abilities

  • Familiar with category industry, including emerging business models 
  • Knowledge of Procurement systems, procedures, regulations, and industry standards 
  • Outstanding customer service/people and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing 
  • Strong negotiation skills 
  • Ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers, and business partners 
  • Experience providing project leadership and effectively running projects 
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • High level of contract knowledge 
  • Experience partnering with and influencing internal partners (HR, Marketing, IT, Legal, etc.) including ability to sell an idea and build consensus 
  • Strong interpersonal skills including written, verbal and formal presentations 
  • PC skills (Excel, Word, database, statistical software) and the ability to efficiently create spreadsheets, pivot tables, other computer analysis, report writing 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in complex, sometimes ambiguous and always fast faced environment 
  • Well-developed ability to interact and connect with people at all levels of the organization 
  • Self-reliant and proactive in all work areas

The salary range for this role is $55,100 to $112,500. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience. 

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
