About the role

Point seeks a talented, experienced Processor to join our US team. As a Processor, you will be responsible for collecting, reviewing, and verifying documents required to successfully close an investment. You will be in contact with homeowners to assist with questions or troubleshoot documents requested to underwrite and fund the option investment. You will also be playing a pivotal role in ensuring the “clear to close” conditions have been met before moving an application into closing.   

You will work with title companies in clearing curative issues and help provide guidance and documentation (e.g. removing liens/judgments, confirming vesting, etc). You will also help ensure that Point’s lien position is protected by ordering and analyzing title reports, facilitating payoffs and reconveyances, and collecting all documentation needed before closing.

Your responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with other departments to ensure dockets progress efficiently.
  • Work to clear title and prepare dockets for closing meeting SLAs.
  • Complete Welcome and status update calls for dockets assigned and meeting set SLAs.
  • Effectively manage pipeline utilizing tools and reports to help prioritize work.
  • Ensure all activities meet compliance guidelines.
  • Complete all assigned training as expected and attend scheduled meetings.
  • Complete all processing tasks as assigned, ensuring SLAs and quality standards are met.

About you

  • 2+ years of Mortgage Processing and/or title curative experience.
  • Understanding of various title issues and curative measures on the title, i.e. tax liens, probate.
  • Knowledge of common credit underwriting standards, and income and asset evaluation.
  • Experience with mortgage modifications and the ability to analyze a title report is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office or Google Sheets. You use formulas to reduce errors and increase efficiency whenever possible.
  • Proficiency with computers, and comfortable in a paperless environment.
  • Excited about joining a later-stage tech company, interested in real estate, interested in fintech.

Fully paid parental leave

  • Point will true-up wages from state-applicable PFL earnings so that the employee’s total gross pay will be equivalent to 100% of their regular base pay, as well as two weeks of fully paid leave to be available after exhaustion of state PFL. 
  • For employees in states without Paid Family Leave, Point will provide up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave. 
  • In addition, all employees will receive 4 weeks of fully paid transition time. For four weeks after returning from parental leave, and following the use of all other paid leave benefits, you may work part-time, meaning two or three days per week, and receive 100% of regular base pay.

Compensation at Point will be determined by skills, experience, and geographic location. Point has identified the expected annual base salary range for roles at this level based on market by tiers (Region | Location | Market Range):

  • Tier 2 | Chicago, Austin, Denver, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego | $45,100 - $60,900
  • Tier 3 | All other US metro areas | $42,500 - $57,500

This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including equity, benefits, and perks outlined above. At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role and level utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage, we use the signal we received from our interviews coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors to determine final compensation.
