Overview

The Principal Technical Product Manager is the liaison between Product Management and software development.  This role works with Product Management, business stakeholders, and architecture to understand current and future needs related to the acquisition of medical records in support of Cotiviti’s products, the Epics that represent required development work, and to formulate and maintain the technical roadmap that lays out the delivery path for Epics, Features, and functional and enablement Stories.  The Principal Technical Product Manager is versed in the software development life cycle, technology integration, and technology trends as related to software development, and uses this expertise to guide TPOs and other members of the development teams to deliver value through rapid iteration and demonstration of functionality.  The Principal Technical Product Manager serves as an advocate for the product and stakeholders who depend on the product, coaches and informs technical product owners, architecture, and other agile team members to help them understand product and market direction.

Responsibilities

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Deliver product market requirements documents with prioritized features and corresponding justifications
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
  • Be an expert with respect to client needs and potential competitors
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Serve as an expert in SAFe product management
  • Perform product demos to customers
  • Propose an overall budget to ensure success
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or other field demonstrating technical expertise or equivalent work experience
  • Ten years’ experience in product management, business analysis, software development and/or related activities.
  • Experienced in design driven development
  • Experienced in Agile product management
  • Experienced in healthcare software, especially as relates to medical records
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching web-based services and products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Database interaction capabilities.

 

 

Mental Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret client business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.

 

 

Base compensation ranges from $150,000/yr to $175,000/yr. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

 

This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration
