Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Principal Specialist role within the Fire Protection portfolio of Avionics. This position offers significant growth and development, working with a collaborative group of finance and operations partners.  The role includes financial reporting and analysis, month end close reporting to leadership, as well as quarterly, annual, and long range planning.

The position requires strong trouble shooting skills and self-motivation to drive items to closure. It also requires excellent communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving, professional curiosity and a strong analytical mindset. 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead consolidation of monthly actuals & forecast cycles, delivering P&L and Balance Sheet submissions in the company consolidation tool (OneStream)
  • Finance business partner for selling, general & administrative (SG&A) expense budgets.
  • Perform financial analysis on key expenditure items, i.e. Travel & Consumables spend.
  • Lead RPO (Remaining Performance Obligations) reporting & analysis
  • Review, analyze and interpret actuals to support leadership decision making
  • Drive process improvements
  • Ensure alignment with SIOP partners

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Prior experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, or other related field

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or other related field
  • Manufacturing background
  • EST or CST based preferred (expected to work EST hours)
  • System Knowledge of Hyperion and SAP
  • Advanced experience with Excel: V-Lookups, Macros

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
