Principal Security Architect

Bristol, UK (remote)

As a Principal Security Architect you will be guiding highly strategic conversations about our security strategy. This includes the overall structure of how we should be implementing our security posture, collaborating with other groups to implement a security vision, and generally ensuring that what we do meets best practices while balancing the needs of the business. Additionally this is a technical leadership position so you will be responsible for guidance/mentoring/focus of others in the security group and ensuring they are also providing best practices. 

You will be responsible for working directly with the Head of Security on roadmaps, plans, vision, etc… in order to help align business processes/needs with security reality

What will I be doing?

  • Review Architectural Decisions and develop threat modeling standards
  • Mentoring and guiding security team members
  • Helping to define overall security posture
  • Working with key cross-group stakeholders to deliver initiatives
  • Collaborating with the Head of Security on roadmap, vision, etc…
  • Help define threat landscape/security monitoring
  • Consult on major decisions in the security team
  • Contribute to secure design and ensuring they meet our standard
  • Conduct regular risk assessments on various parts of the business
  • Help drive major incident response by adding future controls, policies, etc… to ensure it doesn’t happen again
  • Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies to enhance the organization's security posture
