This role is for a Principal Research Analyst to serve as Research Lead for the Gartner Research Board for Global CISOs team.
What you’ll do:
Ideate, scope, conduct interviews and write content to produce RB-quality research products for our audience of Global CISOs.
Coordinate and oversee the research team responsible for the development and delivery of member-guided research content. This includes organizing the research process, having primary oversight of content creation, identifying client and thought leaders as speakers for meetings, and contributing to the interactive, thought-provoking presentations and conversations used to deliver RB research insight.
Contribute to higher retention by creating proactive, foresightful research that frames most important business and technology issues for the RB’s large enterprises Global Technology Leaders.
Grow and nurture the RB’s network of thought leaders (academics, investors, etc.), startups, and vendors that the research team can draw on for interviews and speakers.
Prepare tailored briefings for clients and their teams that covers the research, meeting conversations, and speakers, either face-to-face, or virtual.
Support client accounts by sharing key client intelligence with the broader organization and aiding the Programs team as necessary to serve and retain clients.
Spearhead and support new initiatives for the Research Board’s growth and evolution, including process innovations and cross team/function collaborations.
Contribute to highly-rated conference events for Technology Leaders.
Create and deliver presentations and facilitate discussions with the RB’s Technology Leader audience.
Identify, prepare, and support thought-leading speakers for Global Technology Leader audience.
Manage commitments and relationships with other stakeholders (e.g., events, communications, production, etc.).
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s Degree, Masters preferred, PhD a plus.
Knowledge of and a passion for the information security and risk management topic.
Deep knowledge of technology industry and market, vendors, products, and users, particularly for large enterprises.
Strong command of business strategy concepts; ability to competently apply thinking across industries.
Articulate and succinct communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with public speaking experience.
Enthusiasm for complex and ambiguous topics.
Top-notch interpersonal skills and a desire to work on a high-performing team.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 105,600 USD - 144,900 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
