The ZHL product team is working closely with design, engineering, marketing, data science, legal and other key partners. We’re building tools and experiences deeply integrated across Zillow that we’re surfacing to users at contextually relevant moments. We’re helping users begin their search for a new home with confidence, discover and evaluate homes they can afford, get pre-approved at the right time, and make strong offers for which they have confidence they can receive financing.

About the role

We’re looking for a customer-centric product manager with a background building both front-end features and back-end product to engage and retain customers with cross-functional teams. This role will be the single threaded leader for the Zillow Home Loans affordability strategy and will influence the product direction of some of the most exciting and innovative products at Zillow. The ideal candidate will showcase strong leadership skills by setting the vision, demonstrating strong ownership, delivering results in a fast-paced environment, and fostering collaboration among diverse teams. Our new product manager should be comfortable working with engineering, design, and marketing, and working with product teams across organizations to define requirements and influence roadmaps as needed.

In this role, you will:

  • Prioritize customer needs that drive business value

  • Influence high-level product planning and strategic vision

  • Build mechanisms to gain and ingest customer feedback

  • Prioritize competing opportunities based on business and customer impact

  • Collaborate, coordinate, and drive alignment with senior leaders and key partners across engineering, design, marketing, legal, data science, etc.

  • Drive implementation/execution of complex product enhancements across numerous teams

  • Collaborate with skilled designers and developers to deliver products quickly in an agile environment

  • Quickly learn and apply Mortgage and/or Real Estate knowledge

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $170,200.00 - $271,800.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, focusing on technology products and cross-functional teams.

  • Deep experience collaborating with engineering, design, and marketing teams.

  • Experienced with defining projects, writing requirements, and coordinating projects across multiple teams and organizations.

  • Proficient in defining projects, writing requirements, and coordinating across multiple teams and organizations.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in employing an analytical approach to leverage data and deliver tangible results.

  • Strong leadership skills, setting the product vision and gaining support from leadership.

  • Makes decisions to address widespread shifts in technology, impacting cross organization plans and ensures resources and mechanisms are established for effective execution.

  • Proven track record to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Product decisions, solutions, and suggestions are accurate and successful when judged over time.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills,

  • Ability to find common ground, lead, inspire, and mentor.
