Principal Product Developer, Population Health Strategy

Job Description
Plan, design, develop and implement large complex programs and services for the Healthcare Division that drive improvements in population health, reductions in medical and/or administrative expense, improve customer experience and enhance our competitive advantage. Serve as a thought leader for population health strategies and program ideation.What You'll Do (Note: this is not an Agile or technical role)
Gather input from across the enterprise, division, community, members and through competitive intelligence to identify opportunities, assess needs and develop strategic design of healthcare solutions. Ensure alignment of solutions across the Healthcare business areas and the enterprise.
Develop business cases, strategy concept designs and business requirements.
Incorporate evaluation planning into the overall strategy. Establish performance metrics and goals for programs, including process measures, outcomes measures and financial measures. Ensure program is designed in such a way that these metrics can be collected and monitored.
Lead cross-functional development team and coordinate interdepartmental functions in order to minimize delays. Gain approval and buy-in from stakeholders.
Own and make needed decisions for the successful resolution of all issues, problems and changes within the program that do not alter or defer significantly from the agreed upon milestones and major deliverables.
Ensure that programs meet appropriate regulatory and NCQA Population Health Management accreditation standards. Develop processes and provide documentation to demonstrate compliance with NCQA standards.
Identify, analyze and understand target audiences and their specific program needs. Develop and deploy marketing strategy to increase member engagement in population health programs.
Develop budget impacts and secure all stakeholder approvals.
Facilitate successful transition of programs and projects to operational owners for ongoing management.
Lead vendor identification, evaluation, selection and contract negotiations for new vendor relationships.
Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders in order to identify opportunities for strategic alignment and partnerships.
Champion concepts that will enhance efficiencies, improve processes and maximize customer engagement.
Serve as a subject matter expert to the organization regarding programmatic opportunities and tactics to improve health and impact affordability.
What You'll Bring (Hiring Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
- 8+ years of experience in related field
- In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field
Hiring Preferences
- Healthcare industry experience (health insurance, public health or pharmaceutical)
- Minimum 2 years in cross-functional project/program management or development experience
- Master's degree preferred
Salary Range
