Principal Performance Management Lead

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Principal Management Lead to join our Global Talent Development team. This role requires deep expertise in performance management strategy, program scalability, , with a specific focus on creating and executing performance management plans.

The ideal candidate will establish robust frameworks, elevate current programs, and lead initiatives that empower managers to address our performance management processes while driving overall team effectiveness. The position will partner with the VP of Global Talent Development and cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain an integrated performance management approach for F5.

You will drive performance management design, implementation, execution, and ongoing evolution. This entails enterprise-wide change management work. This is a hands-on design, deliver, implement, change management, and communications-focused role.

You will work closely with individuals and teams across F5 HR, engage with external organizations and research for best and next practice ideas, and gather feedback from F5 businesses to inform these programs and work. You will need to be highly motivated, passionate about research and delivering new ideas, able to influence change, and have experience in Performance Management.

Primary Responsibilities:

In partnership with the VP of Global Talent Development, People & Culture colleagues, and the business:

  • Proactively engage with People & Culture colleagues, particularly HR Business Partners, to gather early input into design needs as well as getting feedback throughout design through launch.
  • Partner closely with Compensation, HR Analytics, and HR Tools to ensure close alignment in program design and execution.
  • Develop and implement scalable performance management programs and frameworks that align with organizational goals and address the needs of a global audience, including related manager capability initiatives.
  • Enhance manager capabilities with a focus on performance management, providing managers with practical tools and resources to lead effectively.
  • Collaborate to design and implement performance management processes and initiatives that align with organizational culture and transformation goals.
  • Establish and utilize metrics to assess program effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and demonstrate the ROI of performance management efforts.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience in designing performance management plans, talent management, and/or change management, preferably in a global organization.
  • Experience leading performance management programs and processes in partnership with HR Business Partners and other teams within HR, as well as partnering with executives within the business for advising and support as needed.
  • Ability to build solid relationships, communicate, and influence at a senior level across the business and HR partners.
  • Experience developing HR processes and process mapping through the lens of employees as customers.

  • Program management for programs that span a large organization or company.

  • Experience facilitating program change.
  • Passion around the customer/employee experience.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and approaches.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills: fosters open communications on teams and works collaboratively.

The annual base pay for this position is: $148,130.00 - $222,194.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
