Principal Engineer - Machine Learning - United States or Canada- Remote

Position Summary

As a principal engineer in the platform team you will develop a broad understanding of the current security landscape. Working with other senior engineers and subject matter experts you will apply your practical ML experience to tackle critical problems in computer security. What You Will Do
  • A structured onboarding to get you up to speed in 90 days

  • Company and Tech onboarding in the first 30 days

  • Context and Stakeholder onboarding in 30-60 days

  • Fully productive after 90 days

  • Review HackerOne’s AI plans and suggest areas of improvement and additional investment

  • Contribute directly to the team’s velocity by writing code 

  • Work with your Principal and Distinguished engineer colleagues on an ML roadmap 

  • Mentor and coach other Engineers

Minimum Qualifications  
  • 10+ years experience building production software systems

  • Experience building, integrating and deploying ML models in production environments

  • Must be based remotely in US or Canada. HackerOne is a digital-first company. This model offers our employees flexibility in time and location. All employees must be able to work and excel in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ruby/Rails experience

  • Experience with Computer Security from a red team and/or blue team perspective

  • Experience with ML Ops pipelines for continuous evaluation, improvement and deployment

Compensation Bands:
Tier Guide

Tier A: $215k-$255k

Tier B: $194k-$243k

Tier C: $183k-$229k

Canada: $200k-$250k CAD
