What you will do:

  • As a Subject Matter Expert in our Professional Services Center of Excellence (COE) group, your main responsibilities will be to provide strategic guidance, knowledge transfer and best practices to the implementation teams around the Direct Procurement Category Spend area.  This role involves a combination of technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, strong domain expertise and great interpersonal abilities to influence delivery, product and key customer stakeholders
  • You will work as a trusted advisor on all topics related to Direct Procurement Category Spend with multiple teams in our organization across sales, services, customer success and product guiding them in industry best practices and advising how to connect them to our platform technology
  • Help customers assess their spend maturity and provide prescriptive recommendations around processes, people, policy and technology solutions to help achieve desired business outcomes
  • Conduct architectural design reviews on implementations to ensure quality in delivery from our and partner implementation teams
  • Develop and implement standardized procedures, templates and tools to enhance the quality of delivery team operations
  • Create and manage best practices knowledge repositories and documentation
  • Collaborate with product management teams internally and lead product enhancement and innovation recommendations on behalf of services org within your area of expertise
  • Availability to support colleagues and projects across the globe and different time zones

What you will bring to Coupa:

  • 15+ years’ consulting experience in Procure-to-Pay and Source-to-Contract, either as part of a procurement organization or a consulting firm or software provider
  • Candidates should have extremely strong client management skills and be able to guide customers on best practice driven design processes and policies
  • Previous senior consulting experience with MRP and MRO solutions (SAP/S4Hana, SAP Ariba, Oracle, Epicor, Maximo, Infor) is highly desirable
  • Proven experience as a Subject Matter Expert in software implementation
  • Strong understanding of processes and underlying technologies in Direct Procurement domain, including inventory management, demand forecasting, production scheduling, purchasing, sourcing, contracting, invoicing and reporting)
  • Experience implementing technology solutions in industries such as Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, MRO, Utilities and Oil & Gas)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience prototyping, demonstrating, designing, configuring, and delivering procurement systems is required
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Self-starter and quick learner, must be able to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changes in a fast paced and passionate environment
  • Highly organized with the ability/experience to manage multiple priorities
The estimated pay range for this role is as follows:
•Based in Bay Area, California: $170,000 - $200,000•Based in Colorado: $144,500 - $170,000•Based in New Jersey: $161,075 - $189,500•Based in New York: $161,075 - $189,500•Based in Seattle, Washington: $153,000 - $180,000
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
