Primary Care Physician Assistant Manager

Deployment Assessment Program (DAP)
- Provide medical evaluation and management services to include, but not limited to the following: diagnosis of medical conditions, professional consultation and referral, prescription of treatments and therapeutics and performance of common procedures
- Perform History and Physical exams in accordance with AFRICOM J004 ACI 4200.09A 13 September 2019 FORCE HEALTH PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS AND MEDICAL GUIDANCE FOR ENTRY INTO THE U.S. AFRICA COMMAND THEATER as well as AF Form 42 and AF Form 43 (updating protocols as new requirements are published)
- Pre-screen records in EPIC as well as members self-reported history prior to DAP arrival and identify conditions requiring waiver/disqualification; coordinate with pharmacist and administrative team
- Conduct DAP patient evaluations in compliance with COCOM guidance
- Maintain an intimate knowledge of both COCOM medical requirements and what conditions/medication are either disqualifying and/or require waiver
- Maintain an intimate knowledge of DAP and COCOM pre-deployment immunizations, malaria prophylaxis, and all other public health requirements for travel into COCOM
- Communicate deficiencies with DAP patients of waiver requirement and/or possibility of waiver and coordinate with supervising physician/DAP Medical Director when necessary
- Manage medical waivers with COCOM POC and DAP Manager. Prepare medical waiver paperwork after obtaining all required documentation from personnel required for waiver including but not limited to consultation with appropriate specialty care providers
- Communicate DAP patient concerns with supervising physician/DAP Medical Director and DAP support staff
Global Med Assist Program (GMAP) & Candidate Evaluation Program
- Work and practice medicine in a telemedicine (remote) setting, requiring a high level of clinical acumen coupled with discretion
- Conduct all patient intakes (to include past medical history review, script filling/management, and patient inquires), as required, to support Global MedAssist Program (GMAP), Candidate Evaluation Program and other programs as necessary
- Review and assess all patient medication interactions prior to pharmacy receipt
- Provide consultation and advice to VIGILINT clients and customers as requested
- Understand licensing processes and requirements across multiple states
- Communicate regularly with the Director of Medical Quality to improve intake processes and records
- Coordinate with Telemedicine Enrollment Specialist on availability and scheduling, maintaining external facing calendar of availability
- Regularly provide at least 15 hours/week worth of availability for external facing calendar
- Schedule availability is flexible while also fixed as patient appointments are scheduled
General Duties
- Maintain documents and complete accurate medical records in accordance with VIGILINT policy, within established guidelines
- Complete all timekeeping records to directly correlate with medical records and patient consultations for accurate and appropriate client billing
- Contribute to VIGILINT mission by accomplishing other duties as required
- Conduct training as requested
- Travel for training and/or assessments when requested
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
Required:
- Current US Board Certification
- Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and certified by the NCCPA
- Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
- Current active clinical practice
- Obtain North Carolina licensure within 3 months of request (VIGILINT will cover the cost of initial and renewal license, but not administrative elements associated with licensing)
- Willingness to obtain and maintain 40+ state licenses if/when requested (VIGILINT will cover cost of initial and renewal licenses, but not administrative elements associated with licensing)
- Must reside within commuting distance to Morrisville, NC
- At least five (5) years clinical practice experience
- At least five (5) years military service as a mid-level provider and familiarity with military deployment processes
- United States citizen
- Ability to meet DoD Common Access Card requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
- Will complete onboarding and orientation to include malpractice, orientation to EHR, account set up, and will furnish the corresponding required documents

Budgeted Work Hours and Schedule:
- 32 hours/week
Salary:
- 80 % FTE Annual effective pay range: $100,000-$108,000 (100% FTE: $125-135k)
