Job DetailsThe Pricing Specialist will conduct pricing activities, contract pricing functions from manufactures as well as MWI Animal Health, and compliance, and pricing maintenance functions to maximize the company’s gross margins contributions.
Responsibilities
Manage manufacturer notifications and Implementation of customer contract pricing; analyze all sales, calculation of reimbursement dollars for contracts and promotions where price was lowered
Report monthly accrual dollars to MWI Animal Health finance, and collections of dollars owed by manufacture to MWI Animal Health
Independently research pricing by customer and market segments
Independently analyze and remediate pricing and margin discrepancies
Effectively communicate with manufacturers to have positive and strong manufacturer relations
Communicate with MWI Animal Health Sales Commercialization team and build effective working relationships
Assist Pricing Manager with other projects as needed
Education and Work Experience
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree. A broad knowledge of the animal health industry (including veterinary clinic products, programs and suppliers) is helpful.
Skills and Knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is essential.
AS400 or SAP experience is desirable.
Candidate should possess a great attention to detail as well as demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a customer focus.

Communicates Effectively; Communicate thoughts, ideas, information and messages completely and accurately; composes and creates documents with language and format appropriate to the subject matter; attends to details ad check, edits and revises writing for correct information.
Build Quality Service: Defines quality service based on customer needs, wants, expectations and profitability: aligns actions accordingly; remains sensitive and responsive to both internal and external customers and builds distinctive predictable levels of services; resolves problems quickly and effectively.
