Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Price-to-Win, Advisor who will serve as an integral member of the Competitive Assessment team within Peraton’s Growth organization. In this role, you will provide leadership and key support on price-to-win (PTW) development activities to support strategic growth initiatives and targeted business acquisition pursuits. This role works closely with leadership to develop competitive pricing strategies by monitoring the marketplace for price fluctuations and ensuring compliance with established corporate policies and procedures.

 

The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of Price to Win practices and tools, pricing, and Federal defense/civil procurement strategies. Candidate must understand the critical nature of price-to-win analyses and their significant impact on the ability to win and execute new and follow-on business opportunities. The candidate should be able to assess and articulate differentiated solutions at a high level to interface with independent cost estimators and solution teams.

 Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed analysis to deliver a PTW recommendation based on competitive research, published competitor pricing, prior wins/losses, third party tools and KPIs, and market trends.
  • Interface with federal contract pursuit team members to comprehend the opportunity requirements, budget, contract type, evaluation criteria, customer risk and award tendencies, and competitive landscape/positioning.
  • Model potential competitor solutions from a solution and price perspective to drive development of competitive bid strategies for each key opportunity.
  • Create and utilize qualitative and quantitative metrics for each pursuit to be used as indicators for price competitiveness.
  • Leverage modeling tools to analyze price ranges to identify the likely “Win” price target for delivery to capture and program operations teams.
  • Identify competitor solutions/pricing threats, mitigation strategies, and the impact those can pose on contract delivery teams.
  • Support corporate reviews and present PTW recommendations to leadership in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Provide PTW outputs and actionable insight with respect to evaluation criteria.
  • Interface with competitive intelligence, solution teams, pricing strategy and/or pricing teams in support of overall price proposal development.
  • Demonstrate understanding of technical/engineering capability to decompose requirements and develop independent competitor solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • BS/BA degree with a significant quantitative analytic focus as well as in-depth knowledge and skills in business/engineering disciplines (Finance, Business, Economics, and/or Engineering)
  • 8+ years professional experience in PTW analysis, cost modeling, federal contract price competitions and/or federal contract solution architecture
  • Minimum 5 years of experience modeling basis of estimates and/or experience pricing federal contract proposals
  • Experience with risk analysis methods such as Monte Carlo simulation software as well as use of industry-based parametrics as benchmarks to demonstrate compelling price targets.
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working on solution-based pursuits or government contracts.

 

Desired

  • Active Top Secret SCI clearance.
  • MS/MA/MBA degree (preferred fields of study include Finance, Business, Economics, and/or Engineering).
  • Proficient in COTS parametric tools (e.g., SEER).
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and oral/written communication skills since this position may require in-person presentation to C-suite executives for corporate priority initiatives.
  • Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of market research tools, applications, and databases.
  • Capability to plan, prioritize, multi-task, and execute assigned workload to handle multiple (often conflicting) priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic, task-oriented, reliable, with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. Apply
