To support our expanding network of clinics, we are seeking an innovative and dynamic Preventive Medicine Physician to oversee core functions that align with our mission of proactive healthcare. With clinics in Vancouver and a growing presence in Canada and internationally, including locations across the US, Prenuvo is redefining preventive healthcare. Our proprietary non-contrast whole-body MRI (WB-MRI) is the cornerstone of our innovative service, enabling efficient extraction of health insights for our patients.

What You’ll Do 

  • Oversee daily operations of our preventive health clinic, including managing staff, scheduling, and patient care coordination.
  • Patient Assessment and Referral: Conduct comprehensive assessments and review medical histories before Medical Imaging procedures and ensure best practices are being observed, 100% via telehealth services / remote work from home. 
  • Collaboration: Work with the healthcare team to determine the appropriateness of Medical Imaging procedures and educate patients about the process
  • Diagnosis: Analyze Medical Imaging results in collaboration with radiologists and communicate findings to patients, discussing treatment options as needed
  • Patient Education: Provide guidance on lifestyle changes and emotional support, promoting overall well-being
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Team Collaboration: Effectively communicate with team members and participate in quality improvement initiatives.  Additionally, collaborate with international preventative care physicians without our organization to improve processes
  • Research:  Participating in our studies to explore the effectiveness and applications of whole-body MRI scans in early disease detection and prevention
  • Consultation Calls
    • Practitioners to perform consultation calls to the patients and physicians as requested by Professional Company or its affiliated entities. The expectation would be to perform consults every 15-30 min (8 hours shift) with lunch and 30 admin prep time prior to.  We also have Rx, referrals and internal f/u consult (complaint) calls.
  • Appropriateness Review and Referral
    • As requested by Professional Company or its affiliated entities, thoroughly review patient files, call patients, and/or consult with referring physicians to determine the appropriateness of client services. For patients requesting services at Professional Company’s affiliated clinic in Vancouver, British Columbia, Services also include for patients cleared for clinical services, placing an order/referral for patient(s) to obtain such clinical services.
  • Prescription of Sedatives
    • Evaluate patient files, contact patients, and prescribe sedatives when medically appropriate.
    • Attend educational sessions provided by Professional Company or its affiliates to ensure the appropriate and standardized delivery of all services mentioned above.
    • Other nurse practitioner services as requested by the Professional Company or its affiliated entities and mutually agreed upon from time to time.

What You’ll Bring

  • An M.D. degree from an accredited medical school (or equivalent) and a CCFP (or equivalent designation)
  • Active licensure in British Columbia, Canada (additional provinces preferred)
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience, ideally in primary care or preventive medicine, with a focus on disease prevention and health optimization.
  • A strong ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, including EMRs, Microsoft Office, and Google Applications.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment.
  • A high tolerance for ambiguity; healthcare startup experience is a plus.
  • A commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to ethical healthcare standards

  • The base salary for this role ranges from $250,000 - $290,000 in local currency, depending upon experience
