The candidate must have intermediate Excel experience. Performs clerical accounting functions of an intermediate level in accordance with standard procedures. Processes payments, updates records in Excel, creates Excel files for upload to main system, heavy data entry, creates and updates records in SharePoint, research of missing payment details .
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Payment processing (Creates and formats Excel files for payment upload.
2. Indexing of payments on SharePoint site.
3. Managing shared mailbox and updating records in SharePoint.
4. Pulling of payment details from client portals for payment processing.
5 Researching missing policy information.
6. Operating PC and related software for data storage,
7. Identifying discrepancies and recommending alternative courses of action.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Provides a full range of premium-related customer service and support to policyholders, agents, underwriting and service representatives according to established standards and practices.
Processes group bills and bulk payments.
Processes Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) chargeback reports, collection reports and change of information forms.
Cancels and reinstates policies as necessary; sends letters requesting account information, EFT stops, and forwards Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) information to the customer.
Responds to calls and e-mails from customer service and underwriting regarding account inquiries.
Reimburses and processes NSF items and takes appropriate action.
Processes all forms of payments and adjustments, including cash, checks or money orders for the insured or agent to satisfy premium or collection amounts.
Prepares received funds for balanced bank deposit.
Review pending payments in rejected cash review and accept or reject payments according to policy.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Supervisor or Manager.
Typical Education and Experiences:
Education: High school studies or equivalent.
Experience: One year experience in customer service and/or processing monetary transactions
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Insurance coursework preferred. Knowledge of property/casualty insurance products, insurance processing systems and procedures, best practices, state regulations and customer service practices.
Possesses strong interpersonal skills to communicate billing information to internal customers. Must be proficient with Nationwide premium processing systems, possess working skills in basic mathematics and common office software and able to balance processing quality and workload.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the office manager and HR Business Partner.

Overtime Eligibility: Eligible (Non-Exempt)
Working Conditions: Requires the ability and availability to work in an agency/office environment including extended periods of sitting at a personal computer, use of headset, non-standard work hours such as weekends and overtime as needed (non-exempt).
