What’s in Store 

We are on the lookout for an experienced Field Premium Auditor who will play a crucial role in helping our clients ensure their insurance premium exposure is accurate. As the Field Premium Auditor, you will be responsible for meeting with policyholders, either in person or remotely, to review their business operations, financial records (payroll, sales, cost records, etc.), and verifying the correct class codes and exposure assigned to their policies. Your work ensures that policyholders meet the requirements of their insurance contracts.

To be successful in this role you will need strong customer service skills, have excellent analytical skills and possess the ability to use deductive reasoning to find solutions, which will contribute to accurate premium assessments and client satisfaction. 

** You must reside in or be within driving distance of Bakersfield, CA or Fresno, CA. **

Key responsibilities include: 

• Arrange appointments with business policyholders
• Conduct audits either on-site or remotely, depending on the client requirements. policyholder and location
• Collect and analyze financial records such as payroll, sales, and cost records
• Evaluate business operations to ensure accurate classification and exposure
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports
• Use Davies' exclusive web portal and premium auditing software to submit findings
• Provide excellent customer service on behalf of our clients
• Address any questions or concerns they may have regarding the audit process
• Ensure all audits comply with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all audit reports and data entry

• Perform other duties as assigned 

This is a full-time, home-based position that will require some travel, usually within a 30–40-mile radius.

Your Expertise, Skills, and Abilities

• Must reside in the geographic area advertised: Bakersfield, CA or Fresno, CA
• Accounting or bookkeeping experience is beneficial
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to use deductive reasoning to find solutions
• Comfortable working with numbers and data analysis
• Willingness to travel within the designated area to conduct in-person audits
• Ability to adapt to varying work environments and policyholder schedules
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with clients
