Practical Law, a division of Thomson Reuters is looking for a summer intern who has completed their second year at an ABA-accredited law school for the Summer of 2024 (with possible fall extension) to work with our Bankruptcy and Restructuring team.
The position will be fully remote and the pay will be $20/hr.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Practical Law Bankruptcy Summer Intern you will:
- Conduct legal research on Bankruptcy and Bankruptcy-related issues.
- Engage in quality assurance with respect to Practical Law content.
- Assist in assembling content, including legal updates.
- Summarize changes to primary law.
- Provide additional support, as needed.
- Be involved in at least one public issue project.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of a Practical Law Bankruptcy Summer Intern if you:
- Demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate an ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and express complex legal material quickly and accurately.
- Have an impressive command of grammar, punctuation, and plain English.
- Consistently pay strong attention to detail and have good organizational skills.
- Are able to work independently, consistently meet deadlines, and achieve individual objectives within larger team projects.
- Have experience using Westlaw and Microsoft Office products.
- Have experience or an interest in Bankruptcy law.
