Position Overview: As a postdoctoral research fellow in our company's Global Chemistry organization, you will work with a highly collaborative team of scientists from the High-Throughput Experimentation, analytical and computational chemistry groups to develop synthetic techniques for preparation of pharmaceutically relevant, unnatural peptides and to create platforms to measure and optimize peptide physical properties.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leveraging High-Throughput Experimentation for the development and implementation of new or improved synthetic methods for preparing unnatural peptides
Collaborating with data scientists for the development of machine learning models for cyclization, mono & bicyclic peptides as well as improved membrane permeability
Utilizing advanced chemistry lab automation hardware and software tools in pursuit of these goals
Presenting and publishing scientific results at internal and external platforms
Education Minimum Requirement:
PhD in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry or Synthetic Chemistry with 3 years or less of postdoctoral experience or met all the requirements for a PhD by May 2025
Required Experience and Skills:
Experience in synthetic method development, total synthesis, or multi-step synthesis
Proven ability to independently design experiments, interpret data and incorporate data into new experimental designs leading to successful experimental outcomes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
History of publication in peer-reviewed journals
Strong anayltical skills (HPLC/MS)
Aptitude for high-throughput experimentation and/or data science
Proven ability to learn and leverage new software and technologies
Strong history of working in cross-functional collaborations

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$75,000.00-$86,000.00
