What this position entails

IntelliScript’s Information Technology has been a key part of our success and is critical to our future. In this position, you will have responsibility for shaping the ongoing development and enhancement of IntelliScript’s industry-leading software. We are seeking an experienced project and program leader with extensive experience in modernization (people, process, and technology), specifically with experience re-architecting on premise applications to cloud native platforms. This person will be responsible for leading highly visible modernization initiatives critical to enabling business growth. Our ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of modern software engineering, architecture, DevOps, platform engineering, and project management skills with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale cloud modernization efforts with a fiscally responsible approach.

What you’ll be doing

  •  Lead and manage highly visible and large-scale modernization and migration efforts, with a focus on quality, cost optimization and governance
  •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and manage people, process and technology requirements, objectives, and deliverables
  •  Identify opportunities to optimize cloud infrastructure and improve efficiency within the environment
  •  Analyze existing business applications and cloud platform technical requirements to ensure that functional, technical, and application migration changes adhere to technology standards and comply with all cybersecurity requirements
  •  Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to technical and non-technical executive leadership throughout modernization program, establishing effective stakeholder communication and engagement practices
  •  Drive success through effective risk management, issue identification/resolution, and stakeholder communication
  •  Prioritize tasks and resources to ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budget
  •  Ensure that team members acquire the necessary skills and competencies to effectively meet objectives of delivering modern, secure, cost optimized applications and services that can be deployed and supported in cloud environments
  •  Provide “hands on” leadership to ensure that work is delivered with appropriate quality, within established timeframes and in alignment with financial targets
  •  Manage vendor relationships including selected platform and partnerships
  •  Establish and manage frameworks for financial and operational governance of cloud assets
  •  Evaluate current processes against target state processes. Define and implement plan to modernize processes, optimizing for efficiency and quality

What we need

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading complex modernization efforts earmarked by decommissioning of data centers and re-architecture of on – premise applications to cloud native applications (any large cloud platform, AWS preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability and excitement to still get into the weeds
  • In-depth knowledge of change management principles and methodologies

Location

The expected application deadline for this job is October 15, 2024.

This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI; however, candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the U.S. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI as needed.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $243,000 depending on a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. In addition, we offer a significant performance-based bonus plan, profit sharing, and generous benefits.
