We are searching for a Plant Controller/Finance Director to join our team. The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the manufacturing plant. This role involves budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost analysis, and maintaining internal controls. The Plant Controller will collaborate with plant management to improve financial performance, ensure compliance with corporate policies, and support strategic planning initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain the plant's budget, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and control plant expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Drive results within the cost accounting functions, including standard cost development and variance analysis.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making processes.
  • Implement and maintain cost control procedures to optimize plant efficiency.
  • Generate financial reports and provide insights to plant management and corporate headquarters including ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by management.
  • Analyze production costs, labor efficiency, and other operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard plant assets and ensure accurate financial reporting including coorindating with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
  • Collaborate with plant management to develop and implement financial strategies that support business objectives including new product development and process improvements including long-term planning and capital investment projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the plant finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Fender is required by law in certain jurisdictions to include a pay scale in the job posting for this position.  “Pay scale” means the salary or hourly wage range that Fender reasonably expects to pay for this position; it is neither a promise nor a guarantee of the compensation that the successful candidate will receive.  The pay scale for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that Fender considers in making compensation decisions, including, without limitation: skill set, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.  If this is a remote position, the pay scale disclosed herein may be adjusted further based upon the applicable geographic differential associated with the location from which the successful candidate will work.  Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role – especially as a new hire – and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $163,600 to $190,866 per year.
