Job Summary
The PHS Billing Analyst II is responsible for managing complex group premium administration, including handling multiple system billing. This role requires addressing premium discrepancies, billing inquiries, refunds, and missing information while building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, agents, and employer groups. The Analyst will oversee semi-monthly commission cycles, conduct premium audits, and ensure system corrections are made for any out-of-balance processes. Additionally, the role involves process improvements, system testing, and training new employees.

• Review and balance semi-monthly commission cycles.
• Prepare premium audits and month-end reports.
• Research and respond to inquiries about outstanding balances, payments, discrepancies, and delinquent accounts.
• Serve as the primary SME for combined billing for EasyBill online for Group & Life 70 products.
• Manage large groups, including calculation of missed premiums, suspense reconciliation, and payment processing.
• Train new and cross-train existing employees on new processes.
• Conduct system testing and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Skills and Background You’ll Need
• 1+ years of experience in group premium administration or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of billing systems and premium reconciliation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors, agents, and employer groups.
• Ability to manage and track multiple tasks simultaneously.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$48,000.00 - $70,250.00
