Overview
PharMerica Revenue Cycle Trainers support the organization's training and development function by assessing needs of employees, conducting training, and evaluating and improving the performance of current training programs and materials.
The ideal Trainer candidate has 4-6 years of experience in training, pharmacy billing, instructional design, or a related field. This role provides professional training to staff on processes and tools supporting pharmacy billing such as, claim denial training on internal Point of Sale systems and external insurance/government billing standards.
This is a remote position, covering all time zones. Applicants may live anywhere within the Continental USA.
Schedule: Monday - Friday Regular business hours. Typically, 8 to 5. Flexibility can be discussed between 6am and 6pm.

Responsibilities
- Plans, conducts, and interprets needs analyses, identifying skill or knowledge gaps among employees. Coordinates with leadership and training staff to develop and deploy training resources meant to address these gaps. Assesses employees' skill or knowledge levels upon completion of training and produces objective measurements of training program performance.
- Recommends and drives improvements to training programs, content, and delivery mechanisms.
- Training & Development work includes developing training curriculum/materials, selecting appropriate delivery mechanisms, delivering training, and monitoring training effectiveness for both the general workforce and for targeted discipline/technical areas.
- Discipline-specific competency training (e.g., Pharmacy, Pharmacy Billing)
- Training on general workplace standards, processes, and tools (e.g., New Hire Training, Employee Time Entry, Email, etc.)
- Training on general skills and competencies (e.g., Verbal & Written Communications expectations, Time Management Skills, Basic Spreadsheet usage, Document Creation skills, etc.)
- Ensure employees have proper resources for job role and communicate additional needs to leadership (e.g., Missing access, missing programs, missing tools). Make recommendations on additional resources that may enhance job functionality.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree.
- 4 to 6 years of experience (e.g. training, pharmacy billing, instructional design, or related experience).
- Computer Proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management Systems, and pharmacy billing software.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter yet open minded to consider new ideas, research, and propose innovative solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to actively listen and adapt based on feedback to foster an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning styles.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated and performs work under minimal supervision.
- Capable of managing complex issues independently, while also recognizing when appropriate to escalate to higher-level staff.
- May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate groups.
- Possesses professional presentation and communication skills with the ability to conduct virtual training sessions and presentations in both “one on one” and group settings.
- Actively seeks out and responds to constructive feedback to improve job performance, skills, and outcomes.
- Physical Demands
- The role involves extended periods of sitting and working on a computer, which requires consistent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for typing and using a mouse.
- Frequent typing and use of a computer mouse or other input devices are necessary to design training content, interact with participants, and manage administrative tasks.
- The role requires clear verbal communication skills and the ability to project voice consistently for long periods of time during virtual training sessions.
- Use of a headset or microphone may be necessary for extended periods.
- Work Environment
- Remote home office environment. Must maintain an appropriate at home office setting free of distractions.
- Must have reliable internet connectivity. Computer Equipment will be provided.
- Must maintain availability during regular business hours to be determined upon time zone and departmental support needs.
