JOB SUMMARY
The pharmacy tech works cooperatively with licensed clinical staff to provide operational support, patient outreach and provider outreach.

Description
- Handles complex, escalated calls and other issues related to prior authorization from Customer Service and physician offices
- Reviews pharmacy reports and updates clinical leadership
- Oversees pharmacy team metrics
- Assists with PA requests for medications
- Assists with medication-related claims review

- Understanding of Medicare Part B vs Part D as related to Prior Authorizations
- Knowledge of HCPCS, CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with accurate work product

- High school diploma or GED Required
- Associate Degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a pharmacy technician
- Managed care experience preferred
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE
Include minimum certification required to perform the job.
- Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPhT) preferred

Compensation and Benefit Information
Compensation
- Pay: $17.20 - $25.70 per hour. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
- Position may be eligible for a signing bonus for qualified new hires, subject to employment status.
- Conifer observed holidays receive time and a half.
