As an Periop Analytics Success Partner, you will take on a multifaceted role that merges the intricacies of engagement management, project leadership, analytics, and technical oversight. You'll build strong relationships with key stakeholders in hospitals and surgical clinics, including senior OR leadership, surgeons, schedulers, and IT teams, serving as a bridge between our customers and internal teams. Your responsibilities will encompass the full scope of requirements gathering, from understanding specific data needs to defining key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OR utilization, staffing efficiency, and patient throughput. You'll translate business needs into technical solutions, guiding the successful integration of the Periop Analytics Suite.

Your expertise will also extend to data governance, platform development, and real-time analytics. You’ll ensure seamless integration with clinical systems like EHRs, maintain data accuracy and security, and implement analytics tools that deliver actionable insights to end users. You'll validate dashboards, analyze perioperative data, and provide clear recommendations that align with client goals, driving both efficiency and cost optimization in the perioperative environment.

As part of the Performance Analytics team, you’ll manage the testing, validation, and continuous improvement of the analytics suite, ensuring it meets business needs through A/B testing and user feedback. Your efforts will not only ensure the platform’s success but also its scalability as new data sources and requirements emerge.

A key part of your role will also involve training and user adoption, where you’ll guide end users on effectively leveraging the analytics suite for decision-making, tailoring support materials to various departments. Finally, you’ll continuously collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams to ensure the analytics suite aligns with broader company goals and healthcare trends, presenting data-driven insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Management

    • Engage with stakeholders (e.g., clinicians, administrators, executives) to understand their specific data needs and reporting requirements.

    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics relevant to perioperative processes, such as OR utilization, patient throughput, staffing efficiency, and safety outcomes.

    • Translate business requirements into technical requirements for the analytics suite.

  • Data Architecture & Integration

    • Integrate with existing clinical systems (e.g., EHRs, OR management software) to pull in relevant perioperative data.

  • Data Governance & Compliance

    • Develop a data governance framework to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of the data.

  • Platform Development & Analytics Tools

    • Select and implement analytics tools and technologies, such as dashboards and our standard reporting solutions.

    • Validate visualizations and dashboards that provide actionable insights to users (surgeons, periop managers, etc.)

  • Data Analysis & Insights

    • Perform data analysis and modeling to provide insights on perioperative efficiency, cost optimization, and clinical outcomes.

    • Present findings in a clear, actionable format that aligns with organizational goals, such as improving patient throughput or optimizing resource allocation.

  • Automation & Real-Time Monitoring

    • Ensure that the analytics suite provides real-time or near-real-time insights to assist in dynamic decision-making.

  • Testing & Validation

    • Validate the accuracy and reliability of data models and analytics outputs.

    • Conduct A/B testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the platform meets business needs.

  • User Training & Adoption

    • Train end users on how to interact with and utilize the analytics suite for decision-making.

    • Tailor documentation and support materials to ensure the platform’s effective use across various departments.

  • Iterative Improvement & Scaling

    • Continuously improve the analytics suite by iterating on user feedback and incorporating new data sources.

    • Ensure the platform can scale with the business, both in terms of data volume and the complexity of analyses.

  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Communication

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and clinical teams to ensure the analytics suite aligns with broader company goals.

    • Communicate insights to leadership and provide recommendations for business and clinical improvements based on data trends.

  • Continuous Monitoring & Optimization

    • Develop processes for continuous monitoring and evaluation of analytics performance.

    • Identify opportunities to optimize perioperative workflows, such as reducing case turnover times or increasing surgeon block time utilization.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Skilled at understanding, documenting, and analyzing data using a variety of tools (Data validation dashboards, writing and interpreting JAVA/SQL code, complex Excel functions, Looker, etc.)

  • Knowledge of perioperative metrics, processes, challenges, and solutions; ability to engage in strategic and operational discussions with hospital leaders and surgeons.

  • 5+ years of professional experience implementing and supporting performance analytics used by internal and external stakeholders

  • 5 years of professional experience working with at a top health care consulting firm, digital health company, or health system OR advanced degree in analytics-related field with 3 years of related professional experience

  • At least 3 years of project/program management experience with functional understanding of the business requirements and technical capabilities needed for an enterprise-wide SaaS implementation in a provider setting.

  • At least 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams, both internally and externally, to manage end-to-end project lifecycles and to drive project milestones to completion.

  • A track record of applying strong quantitative and analytical skills in prior roles.

  • Ability to travel on average 25% and up to 50% within the United States

It’s a Plus if You Have… 

  • Familiarity with robotic surgery business functions

  • PMP certification.

  • Experience with Epic/Cerner EHR instances.

  • Experience working with clinical and/or process consultants.

  • Prior experience with EMR implementations

The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000. Qventus salary bands represent market data across different geographies. We consider several factors when determining compensation, including location, skills and qualifications, and prior relevant experience. Salary is just one component of Qventus’ total package.
