About your role
Rocket Lawyer is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Performance Marketing Intern to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to dive into the world of performance marketing and gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools, strategies, and campaigns. The intern will work closely with the Performance Marketing team and our Paid Search Manager, assisting with key projects that will directly impact our marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
This internship is ideal for students or early-career professionals looking to develop expertise in paid search and digital advertising strategy.
Reports to: Director, Performance Marketing
Location: Remote, but you must be located in CA, AZ, CO, NC, or UT during the internship.
Duration: June 9, 2025 - August 15, 2025, working 40 hours per week
How you will make a difference day to day
- Assist with a comprehensive review of our current paid search campaigns, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Research and evaluate competitors' performance marketing strategies, identifying trends and opportunities for Rocket Lawyer to enhance its competitive positioning.
- Develop and test ad copy variations to improve click-through rates (CTR) and overall campaign performance.
- Conduct in-depth research to uncover emerging and high-potential keywords to support campaign expansion and growth in key areas of our business.
- Assist in analyzing campaign performance, compiling insights, and preparing reports for the Performance Marketing team and key stakeholders.
- Partner with the team to brainstorm innovative ideas and share insights that align with broader marketing goals.
- Stay on top of the marketing landscape, staying informed about current trends. Maintain close relationships with agencies, tools, platforms, and partners. Set high expectations to keep Rocket Lawyer’s products at the competitive forefront of the legal tech landscape.
What you’ll need
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
- A strong interest in digital marketing and a desire to learn about Paid Search, SEM, performance marketing, and paid digital channels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to draw insights from data.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent project/time management skills.
- Proficient in Google Sheets or Excel and comfortable with data analysis tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive and curious, eager to take initiative and learn on the job.
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn quickly.
