What can you expect?

As part of Marsh McLennan’s Corporate People Partner Team, the People Partner for Legal, Compliance and Public Affairs (LCPA) and MMC’s Chief of Staff will provide forward-looking strategic HR counsel to MMC’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel, MMC’s Chief of Staff and their respective leadership teams working in close collaboration with MMC’s Corporate CPO. The role aligns people and talent initiatives with business goals and strategies to ensure superior organizational performance.

The People Partner owns the relationship with these leaders and leverages resources from our Centers for Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Talent & Inclusion, Total Rewards, Employee Relations), as well as the assistance of HR peers inside and outside the Corporate People Partner team, to deliver exceptional service to their clients. The role is responsible for supporting these leaders to develop and execute on talent strategies and solutions that enable them to meet their business objectives. 

As an advisor on people strategy, the People Partner collects information to help diagnose talent issues and priorities and presents insights to business leaders and the Corporate CPO to inform decision making and shape strategic plans.

  • Proactively engage with HR Managers to establish a strong partnership enabling smooth implementation of programs and solutions and to gain insight into patterns in People Manager behaviors and issues across the business.
  • For Career Development, Leadership Development, Internal Mobility, & Learning:
    • Provide local business perspective to COE and other People Partners
    • Work with business leaders to assess bench strength and workforce capabilities.
    • Oversee delivery of career development, leadership development, and learning content and programming, tracking program outputs and results.
    • Monitors inflow/outflow of resources within business area and shares internal mobility insights with relevant leaders.
