Role Objective

Supports the people team by providing key administrative services and operational support for the People Partners and Head of Learning & Development. The role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day people processes, acting as the first point of contact for HR-related queries and assisting in the implementation of people policies and procedures.

Main responsibilities: 

HR Administration

  • Undertakes a broad range of administrative duties covering all aspects of the employee life cycle, such as performance management, health questionnaires, reasonable adjustments and training needs.
  • Work alongside the people operations coordinator to provide administrative support for the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of payroll data.
  • Maintain accurate records of HR-related data, including maternity, sickness management, performance management, flexible working, and reasonable adjustments.

Learning and Development (L&D) Support

  • Assist with the coordination and administration of training programmes
  • Maintain training records and ensure that employees' development progress is accurately tracked.
  • Organise and schedule L&D activities, ensuring employees are informed of upcoming training and development opportunities.
  • Assist in gathering feedback on training sessions and support the evaluation of their effectiveness.

Employee Support:

  • Providing the first line of advice on people-related queries and advising in line with the current policies and procedures.  
  • Support the People Partners in handling employee relations-related issues and providing accurate reports on areas such as absence management, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Supporting absence management through ensuring compliance with policy, creation of reporting and monitoring trends.

People Projects and Initiatives

  • Support the People Partner and Head of L&D with implementing people initiatives, including employee engagement activities, learning and development programmes, and DEI strategies.
  • Assist in collecting and analysing HR data for reporting purposes, including exit interviews, absenteeism, and performance data.
  • Support with ensuring the employee handbook is kept up to date with changes in policies and procedures within Kooth and remains relevant to current legislation.
