People Operations Specialist

The position of People Operations, Specialist ensures seamless operations and effective communication within the organization. This role involves managing the people mailbox, handling benefits management and reconciliation, and supporting onboarding, internal transfers, and offboarding processes. The position also focuses on building and implementing processes and procedures, researching best practices, and managing communications through Slack. This role also plays a key role in system support, managing Tier I troubleshooting, manual uploads, data reporting, and workflow management.
How You’ll Do It
System and Operational Support:
- Manage People & Talent ticket portal, addressing Tier 1 requests and escalating appropriately, being mindful of SLAs and organizational process.
- Supports benefits administration by processing manual data uploads, assisting with reconciliations, and responding to Tier 1 questions.
- Provide comprehensive system support to manage integration uploads, system configuration updates, routine data audits, and Tier 1 end-user troubleshooting.
- Ensure data integrity, produce reports, and support audit requests from internal and cross-functional team members.
Process and Procedure:
- Maintain comprehensive SOPs for People Team and refine processes for improvement .
- Builds new processes and procedures to improve People Team deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams when designing and optimizing processes and procedures.
Team Member Support and Communication:
- Internal Comms: Manage communications for the People Team through Slack messaging and the People Team email inbox.
- External Comms: Own external communication via the People Inbox to fulfill employment verification requests, UI agency requests, and ad-hoc inquiries.
Team Member Lifecycle
- Manage the onboarding of new team members to ensure accurate data, system set-up, compliance, and positive experience.
- Manage internal mobility, ensuring data integrity, system updates, and cross team collaboration.
- Manage offboarding process, ensuring cross team collaboration with a focus on compliance.
- Respond to state unemployment insurance requests.
The Right Stuff
- High school diploma or equivalent experience is required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. HR Certification is preferred.
- 2 years of HR or Office Management related experience preferred.
- Uses established People Team processes and procedures to determine how to best resolve a variety of issues. Works on problems of moderate complexity.
- Receives minimal instruction on day-to-day work and general instruction when working on new assignments. Exercises judgment within procedures and practices defined by the People Team to determine appropriate courses of action. Contributes to the analysis and investigation of solving problems and addressing issues related to the work of the People Team.
- Consistently applies knowledge to grow in curiosity, tenacity, flexibility, and adaptability. Challenges self to learn from mistakes. Seeks to understand and is open to new information and change.

- Demonstrates interpersonal awareness by respecting individual and cultural differences. Gains cooperation for simple proposals by building buy-in through commitment and trust.
- Demonstrates the ability to learn new technologies. Works effectively using Google Suite and collaboration tools (Slack preferred). Adept with HRIS software (Workday preferred), benefits portals, and project management software (JIRA preferred). Support the work of the People Team through the use of Excel (basic filtering, sorting) and Adobe (e-Sign).
- Up to 5% travel may be required for this position.

Location Information
Unless otherwise specified, this role has the option to be hybrid or remote. Hybrid work locations provide team members with the flexibility of working partially from our Denver office and from home. Remote team members must live and work in the United States* (*territories excluded), and have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
