The People Operations Program Specialist is a key contributor to ensuring a seamless employee experience and driving operational excellence within our People Operations Team and across our stakeholders. Reporting to the Manager of People Operations and Systems, this role will provide subject matter expertise on HR operations processes, oversee HR operations programs, and drive process improvement projects within the People Operations Organization.  Strong Workday process experience is essential, along with project management experience, a keen attention to detail, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. This position plays a critical role in supporting employees, fostering collaboration across HR functions, and implementing process improvements to ensure data integrity and optimize operational efficiency. 

How you'll add value:

  • Workday Experience: Provide subject matter expertise on employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations; ensure data accuracy and understand downstream impacts of changes. 
  • Workday Testing and Configuration: Participate and coordinate testing to support configuration updates; assess and communicate the impact of changes to processes and data integrity.  
  • Project Ownership and Leadership: Take initiative to lead and manage People Ops projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, clear communication, and alignment with business goals.
  • People Operations Programs: Oversee various programs within the People Operations Team, ensuring programs are run accurately and efficiently.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate HR systems and processes to ensure they are effectively supporting organizational objectives while maximizing efficiency, automation, compliance, and scalability.
  • Contingent Worker Management: Oversee end-to-end management of the contingent worker program; onboarding, offboarding, contract tracking.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Conduct regular audits of employee data to maintain accuracy and compliance; proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies. 
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with cross-functional People teams to ensure alignment on Workday processes and policies.
  • Support Employees: Respond to employee inquiries through the HR ticketing system, providing timely and effective solutions while escalating complex issues to appropriate teams when necessary. 
  • Documentation: Create and maintain internal knowledge base articles and process documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment across teams. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee and process compliance-related tasks, such as I-9 verification, unemployment claims, and workers’ compensation documentation, with attention to accuracy and adherence to regulations. 
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

  • People Operations Experience: 3+ years of experience in People Operations or a related field, with demonstrated experience managing employee life cycle processes. 
  • Workday Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience using Workday to manage employee data, execute transactions, and optimize processes. 
  • Growth Mindset: Proven ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, approaching challenges with curiosity and a solutions-driven approach. 
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to independently identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions that enhance operational effectiveness. 
  • Project Management Skills: Excellent organizational and project management capabilities, adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. 
  • Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HR compliance, including I-9 verification, auditing best practices, and adherence to regional labor laws and regulatory requirements. 
  • Collaborative & Communicative: Strong ability to proactively partner with cross-functional teams, providing clear and concise communication to deliver actionable guidance and alignment. 
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity. 

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience using ticketing systems to manage and track HR-related inquiries. 
  • Familiarity with testing HR system updates and implementing process changes. 
  • Certification or training in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies. 
  • Experience handling unemployment claims, workers’ compensation cases, or similar regulatory processes. 
  • PHR or equivalent certification.

  • This position has a salary range of $78,800 - $118,200. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
