The Role:

In any organization, People Operations is important. But for Kindred, because of the nature of our high-trust, deeply human product, it is existential. Our ability to hire the right talent, execute with precision, and operate in alignment with our values is of unique strategic significance at Kindred, and weā€™re looking for a phenomenal leader who can join the early team to champion our people operations and shape the future of the team.
This hire will report directly to the CEO, and will be responsible for establishing our People Team functions. Like the rest of our early team, this role will need to straddle operating with team building, and tactics with strategy.
Though we expect this role to initially span HR, recruiting, and learning & development, we are specifically looking for someone who ā€œspikesā€ in HR. Our expectation is for this role to build out our recruiting, L&D, and other People Operations functions over time through a combination of agencies/contractors and full-time employees.

You Will:

  • Define the approach and execute on human resources efforts, including compensation philosophy and calibration, payroll and benefits, decisions around HR and recruiting software, onboarding and offboarding playbooks, company handbook, expense policies, and more.
  • Support employees across the organization as an HR business partner, keeping a pulse ā€¦
