PolyAI is searching for a proactive and ambitious People Generalist Manager, reporting to the VP of People. You will be managing the entire People and HR experience for the PolyAI US team. 

The People Generalist Manager must be based in EST time zone.

Salary: $125,000 - $180,000

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the full-cycle, day-to-day people operations required to support PolyAI employees in the US.
  • Manage the day-to-day functions of the people department in the US, including but not limited to employee benefits, employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, grievances, compensation and enforcing company policies and practices. 
  • Working with the VP of People, manage disciplinary, capability, and grievance investigations/hearings and dismissals for US employees. 
  • Carry out research into emerging US labour legislation and best practices to support employee strategy delivery.  
  • Partner with the Global Talent Lead and their team to manage the employee onboarding and new employee orientation, ensuring that new hires are set up for success. 
  • Partner with the Workspace and Employee Experience Manager to drive PolyAI’s social, wellbeing and diversity calendar programs in the US.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve people processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions that drive better employee experience and operational excellence.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to align people strategies in the US with business goals.
  • Collaborate with people managers and department leaders to understand their needs and provide HR/People support to achieve their objectives in the US. 
  • Manage the relationship with our PEO and act as the primary point of contact.

Must haves:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a senior HR or people management role in a tech startup or scaleup. 
  • In-depth knowledge of US labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing employee benefits and good knowledge of the healthcare benefits space. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and manage disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Passion for fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-state, fast-paced environment.
