Our Store Experience & Business Operations organization is committed to empowering stores and employees to reach their full potential through outstanding training, education, and the delivery of engaging client experiences. We prioritize operational excellence and the seamless execution of innovative programs that enhance both the client journey and store performance. We focus on supporting daily store operations while curating dynamic in-store experiences that inspire and connect with our clients. As the voice of our stores, employees, and clients, we collaborate across functions to design, launch, and train on impactful programs that drive efficiency, elevate the retail environment, and create memorable, differentiated moments for every client.
People Operations
As subject matter experts (SMEs), lead and manage programs that support our most valuable asset – our people! Our team supports the life cycle of the employee experience, including foundational training and development. We support staffing, scheduling and compensation programs. Our team strives to create the best experience for all store employees through continuous improvement and feedback, helping Sephora truly be the best place to work!
Your Role:
As a People Development Manager you will ensures that the organization operates at peak efficiency, minimizes risks, and meets its strategic objectives. They are instrumental in bridging knowledge gaps, driving innovation, and fostering a collaborative and informed operational environment. Responsibilities vary by level, with increasing complexity, leadership, and strategic impact as roles progress.
Responsibilities:
- You will be the subject matter expert (SME) responsible for developing, executing, and analyzing the operations of People Development focuses across all Sephora store formats.
- Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of critical business programs, new initiatives, and operational policies.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, processes, and training materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Sephora to support end-to-end project management for, including overarching strategies.
- Act as a liaison between business groups and retail to ensure procedural updates align with program goals and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage cross-functional partnerships to ensure alignment and effective communication across teams.
- Provide support to team members and peers in various areas of responsibility as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (such as Instructional Designers, Communications, etc.) both in stores and at the FSC to ensure seamless operations and achieve common goals.
- Contribute to key initiatives including Foundational Training, Training Store Manager Program, Holiday Programming, Store Objectives, Store Meetings, Daily Dose, as well as any other support the team requires.

- 5-7 years Experience in retail operations, project management, or training environment
- Passionate about creating best-in-class experiences for clients, employees, and brands through innovative programming and continuous optimization.
- Experienced in navigating matrix organizations and fostering collaborative partnerships.
- Skilled in managing operational processes and driving efficiencies in the beauty and retail sectors.
- Committed to aligning program efforts with strategic goals to deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in key competencies such as Strategic Vision, Agility & Managing Ambiguity, Resilience, Collaborates, Drive Results, Values Unique Differences and Helps Others Grow.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, and preferred experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, Box, etc.)
- Comfortable with Travel
The annual base salary range for this position is $96,390.00 - $128,250.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
